We work directly with local, NC farmers to deliver the freshest food from their fields to your door!

• Unlike national brands that ship produce around the country from large agricultural operations, we work directly with the small farmers in our area. Many of the same farmers you see out at local markets. They harvest fresh for us every week, and we carefully pack your box the same day that you receive it. We use our own delivery vehicles and staff to keep everything fresh, safe, and handled with care. This is how local is supposed to work!

Aside from fresher, higher quality food, one of the big benefits of ordering food while it is still in the fields is the ability to coordinate meals based on your weekly needs and desires! Every week we compile a list of suggested recipes and meals that you can order for the upcoming week. Papa Spud's portions out the fresh items from our farm partners, or anything else that you do not have on hand, so that you get meals ready to cook, without any excess or waste. It is a much more efficient system that saves everyone money, avoids trips to the grocery store, and also helps local farms prepare for upcoming demand and needs!

	Chicken and Mushroom Ramen Ramen is a popular Japanese noodle dish, packed full of flavor! Our version starts with a flavorful ginger, sesame, and soy broth, combine with shredded chicken, carrots, aromatic green onions, and plenty of umami cremini mushrooms. Serve it all over a bowl of noodles, for a perfect meal any night of the week! $3.50 per serving
	Shepherds Pie Local, pasture raised ground beef from Firsthand Foods, cooked with onions, carrots, and fresh herbs. The flavors come together for a balanced, delicious filling that is not too heavy. Topped with mashed potatoes and roasted in the oven for a golden crisp! This dish hits all of the food groups and is very easy to prepare. With 4-5 servings it is a perfect family dinner, or make it for yourself and a friend and you will have plenty of leftovers! $3.50 per serving
	Smashed Potato Salad with Chorizo & Scallions This delicious Mexican style potato salad is a full meal! Red potatoes are roasted and combined with delicious, local Mexican style chorizo from Firsthand Foods. Mexican chorizo is a ground pork sausage mixed with lots of spice and seasoning. We use the cooked off chorizo oil to make a chorizo aioli sauce instead of mayo for the potato salad. Bring Chorizo and all together with some fresh scallions and a sprinkling of ancho chile powder! $3.50 per serving
	Dijon Tarragon Chicken with Cremini Mushroom Sauce This French style chicken dish is easy to whip together for a weeknight meal, but sophisticated enough for a weekend get together with guests! Delicious, juicy, Joyce Farms chicken breast is cooked to perfection then combined in a creamy mushroom, onion, and garlic sauce. The Dijon mustard is just enough without overpowering the dish, and a sprinkling of fresh tarragon from brings it all together! $3.50 per serving

	Parmesan Potato and Pepper Hash Simple but delicious breakfast or side dish. Perfect for a weekend brunch! Potatoes are cooked in butter and oil, then sauteed along with red and green peppers, onions, and garlic. Seasoned with salt and pepper, and mix in shredded parmesan cheese.
