Support Local Farmers:

We work directly with local, NC farmers to deliver the freshest food from their fields to your door!

Save Money/Save Time!

Aside from fresher, higher quality food, one of the big benefits of ordering food while it is still in the fields is the ability to coordinate meals based on your weekly needs and desires! Every week we compile a list of suggested recipes and meals that you can order for the upcoming week. Papa Spud's portions out the fresh items from our farm partners, or anything else that you do not have on hand, so that you get meals ready to cook, without any excess or waste. It is a much more efficient system that saves everyone money, avoids trips to the grocery store, and also helps local farms prepare for upcoming demand and needs!

This Week's Menu:
Summer Blueberry Crumble
Nothing says summer quite like a warm blueberry crumble fresh from the oven! Bursting with sweet, juicy blueberries and topped with a buttery, golden crumble, this classic dessert celebrates one of the seasons most beloved fruits. Summer blueberries are the perfect centerpiece for backyard gatherings, family cookouts, and holiday celebrations!

For Juneteenth, blueberry crumble offers a delicious addition to the table alongside traditional red-colored foods that symbolize resilience, strength, and joy. Served on its own or topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, this simple yet comforting dessert highlights the abundance of the season while bringing family and friends together. Homemade blueberry crumble is a sweet way to honor summer and create lasting memories.

Ingredients mix and meld beautifully for a spice packed burrito bowl dish that makes a healthy, delicious weeknight dinner with just a few minutes of prep work. Serve burrito bowls with a variety of toppings. Leftovers can be wrapped in tortillas for a lunch on the go, or enjoyed over nachos.

Thai Basil Chicken (Pad Krapow Gai)
A classic Thai street food meal, known as Pad Krapow Gai, boneless skinless chicken breast medallions are cut into small pieces and combined in a tangy stir fry sauce. Add some chili peppers for color and heat, and fresh basil and arugula for freshness. Serve with rice, and top it all of with a fried egg!
$3.50 per serving
Greek Meatballs with Lemony Dill Baked Rice
This Greek inspired beef and veggie dish is bursting with harvest season freshness! The meatballs are packed with fresh mint and lemon zest for freshness. The rice cooks in the same pan, to minimize clean up. Then add in farm fresh zucchini, cherry tomatoes, and plenty of dill and lemon juice! This dish is super easy, yet well balanced, and packed full of flavor!
$3.50 per serving
Southern Fried Catfish with Cajun Dipping Sauce
Few dishes capture the spirit of Southern cooking quite like crispy fried catfish. A beloved staple across the South for generations, catfish has long been a centerpiece of family gatherings, church picnics, and community celebrations. For Juneteenth, this classic comfort food is a fitting addition to the table, honoring the rich culinary traditions that African Americans helped shape throughout the region and our country. Fresh catfish fillets are coated in seasoned cornmeal and fried until golden brown and perfectly crisp, creating a delicious contrast between the crunchy exterior and the tender, flaky fish inside. Paired with a zesty Cajun dipping sauce featuring a blend of spices, a touch of heat, and creamy richness, it is a meal that delivers bold Southern flavor in every bite!

Mac N Cheese, James Hemings Recipe
In celebration of the Juneteenth Holiday, we have a re-creation of the macaroni and cheese recipe that James Hemings popularized in our country back in the late 1700s. James Hemings, older brother to Sally Hemings was enslaved to Thomas Jefferson for most of his life. Despite his enslavement, he quickly became one of the best known chefs in America. As a young man, he was selected by Jefferson to accompany him on a trip to France, where he was trained in classical French cooking. He brought his training back to America, where he used his talent, skill, and intelligence to incorporate French cooking techniques with American ingredients and culture. While he did not invent Macaroni and Cheese, he popularized the dish throughout the colonies, as countless people came to enjoy his dishes at Jeffersons estate of Monticello. If you have the opportunity, the Netflix documentary: High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America, recreates Mr. Hemings famous dish, then referred to as Macaroni Pie in their third episode. Our preparation is based off of the original, and even 2+ plus centuries later, it is still something to tell your friends about!
