This dish is a fun play on the classic Vietnamese Bahn Mi Sandwich. Tangy green tomatoes are sliced and quickly pickled with julienned carrots. Pasture-raised NC spicy italian sausage is formed into patties and "smash" grilled until crisp on the outside and juicy in the middle. Served on toasted hamburger buns, the tangy pickled veggies come together beautifully with the fresh cucumber and cilantro, juicy sausage patty, and a delicious creamy peanut satay sauce that brings it all home!
