Specialty Peppers


We have some specialty peppers including Cubanelle and Anaheim peppers available from local farms this week. Cubanelle peppers range from yellow-green to red and are prized for their sweet, mild flesh. Their rich flavor and pretty colors make them perfect for frying and cooking. They are popular in many Spanish, Italian, and Slavic dishes.

Anaheim peppers have a little more heat, and are popular in southwestern cuisine. The membranes and seeds of Anaheim peppers is where most of the heat is found. So, if you don’t want it to be quite so spicy, be sure to take the veins and seeds out before using the pepper.
